When uploading images, text, forum posts, event descriptions, comments, or any other content to this website, gallery, forum, or member area, you agree to the following rules:

1. Allowed Content (Strict)

• Photographs of your own car (the vehicle you own or are the registered keeper of).
• Photos must clearly feature your car as the primary subject (e.g., parked, at a show, on a cruise, being worked on, etc.).
• No exceptions: images of other people’s cars, friends’ cars, club members’ cars (even if they’re at the same event), show cars you don’t own, or any car not registered to you will be rejected.
• Written content that is directly related to your own car, club events you attended, or general car club discussion (e.g., build threads, maintenance tips, event recaps, member introductions).

2. Prohibited Content (will be removed without warning)

Images

• Photos of any car that is not yours.
• Nudity, partial nudity, or sexually suggestive imagery.
• Pornographic or erotic content.
• Violence, gore, or disturbing imagery.
• Hate speech, discriminatory symbols, or offensive gestures.
• Political or religious propaganda/symbols used in an inflammatory way.
• Drugs, drug paraphernalia, or illegal substances.
• Images containing personal information (phone numbers, addresses, full names, etc.).
• Watermarked images from other websites/photographers without permission.
• Images copied from Google, Instagram, or other sources.

Written Content (posts, comments, descriptions, etc.)

• Hate speech, slurs, discriminatory language, or harassment of any kind.
• Threats, violence, or incitement to violence.
• Obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit text.
• Spam, advertising, or self-promotion unrelated to the club.
• Political or religious propaganda used in an inflammatory way.
• Personal attacks, doxxing, or revealing private information about others.
• Content that promotes illegal activities or substances.
• Off-topic rants or trolling intended to disrupt the community.

4. Copyright & Ownership

• You must own the copyright or have explicit permission to upload any image or written content.
• By uploading, you grant Oil Slickers Society International a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, resize, reproduce, and use the content on the website, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
• You remain the copyright holder.

5. Moderation & Consequences

• All uploads (images and written content) are subject to manual or automatic moderation.
• Content that does not feature your own car or violates any other rule may be removed immediately and without notice.
• Repeated violations may also result in suspension of upload privileges or full account suspension.
• Violations of a heinous or criminal nature will be subject to review by law enforcement and will be reviewed by the club council and membership to determine further consequences.

If your image or written content was removed and you believe it complies with this policy, please contact the moderation team via the contact form.
