Bamahenge and Dinosaurs and Pirates, OH MY!
Join OSSi for a super fun family-friendly VW outing to check out some wild Alabama roadside attractions!
🗓️ When: Saturday, Feb 27th
🕘 Meet-up: 9:00 AM at Publix on Mobile Hwy (5998 Mobile Hwy, Pensacola, FL)
🕤 Depart: 9:30 AM sharp!
First stop: Bamahenge & the Dinosaurs!
We'll head over to Elberta, AL to explore the full-scale fiberglass Stonehenge replica (Bamahenge), multiple stops hidden in the woods, plus awesome life-size dinosaurs peeking out (T-Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Brontosaurus, and more oddities!) Perfect for photos, laughs, and fun for the kids excitement!
Then: Lunch at Pirates Cove!
On the way home, we'll swing by Pirates Cove (not very far away from Bamahenge) for some laid-back grub, cold drinks, and that classic Gulf Coast Beach party atmosphere. Great burgers, bushwhackers (non-alcoholic options too!), totally chill.
Bring your kids (it's a blast for them!), bring your cameras (tons of photo ops!), bring your tools and spare parts, it's a cruise, so no VWs left behind! Whether you've got a Beetle, Bus, Thing, or any air-cooled classic, come roll with the crew on this scenic backroads adventure.
It's going to be a memorable day of weird wonders, good eats, and VW camaraderie. See you at Publix at 9 AM!
