That's right, 71 beautiful, souls have joined our community in under 3 weeks. We grow faster than the mystery stain under your VW on your garage floor. Give yourselves a round of applause, or at least a respectful golf clap while nobody is looking. Corporate paperwork? Done-zo! Florida stamped it, the federal EIN is locked in, and we're officially a real corporation (non-profit division with the state). Now we just wait for the IRS to bless us with 501(c)(3) status. Prayers, good vibes, and sacrificial burnt oil is appreciated. From here it's a waiting game, and we all know government doesn't move fast. First official OSSi meeting last night: approx 20 legends showed up seeking refuge, they found a new community of family welcoming them. Our guests ate approximately 9,000 free tacos, probably much less... can't rememember, gotta check the bill... but we were hungry! We unanimously passed the most member-loving ByLaws anywhere on the Emerald Coast, and demonstrated a full up-to-the-second financial transparency zinger that leaves other organizations to shame, with a few bugs... but what VW club doesn't have a few broken Bugs? Our goal is to get them all fixed! OSSi is MONTHS AHEAD of our original projected goals, and will be pushing forward to even more great things sooner than expected.
