To all of our beautiful, grease-stained, kindred spirits! First off: THANK YOU. Seriously. We blinked and somehow 77 of the rowdiest, smartest, most delightfully unhinged people on the internet decided to call Oil Slickers Society International home in our very first month. SEVENTY-SEVEN human beings who looked at a group dedicated to the energy of our memes chock full of our inclusive yet contrarian takes on the local VW scene, and said "Yep, this is the hill I'm planting my flag on." It just might bring tears to our eyes.... We're so happy but I promise not to cry... (Okay, I'm crying a little, its the fumes, my carbs are running a little too rich! PHEW!) We launched this thing fully expecting maybe twelve of our rowdiest friends to show up. Instead all you legends turned it into a real-deal community in thirty days flat. That's not growth... that's a cult with better branding. Kidding! We might debate what oil is the proper one to run, but we'll never make you drink the Kool-aide. Hoping everyone survived Thanksgiving without bursting like a stuffed turkey, or accosting an in-law over their unwelcomed dinnertime politics. But we do want to know if you found the need to properly launch a piece of pumpkin pie across the table... give us the stories! Now, let's talk December, because we're not slowing down just to stuff ourselves yet again, even though this time it might be peppermint bark and even more regret after all the holiday cheat meals, and lets not forget the leftovers!
