To our esteemed members of the Oil Slickers Society International Family,
So much going on this week, and this weekend! And you can now find it all on our website's brand new calendar! This calendar is OSSi's gift to the community. Nobody else would share all VW community events on their FB pages (for whatever reason they invented that day) so we're going to be the first to do so without any of the politics and the prejudices, because thats what OSSi always does! Imagine that!
It will host ALL VW-friendly events within 200ish miles of the Greater Pensacola Bay Area for now, with plans to expand as the club grows. How do the events get there? YOU add them! The community itself gets to participate!!! All OSSi member logins work for this automatically (we are sticking with the one-login principle for all things club-related!) You can even edit the calendar without being a member so let your friends or organizers of VW-friendly events know, as this calendar is club-and-event-neutral and only biased toward all things for the VW community at large!
Donations are accepted on the calendar page, too. All funds go to the club to meet OSSi's community-related goals... so folks can make a donation, become an OSSi member, or even buy merch to support our endeavors.
TOMORROW - FREE BREAKFAST! Coffee and donuts at the Donuts, Dirt, & Drive-in at 8AM, meet us there! Will be lots of Jeeps and Classic cars, lets raid the event and bury them in VWs! After 10AM we'll get rolling and head down the Pete Moore Volkswagen Appreciation Day where we will join ECVW, you will find a free lunch and all of our VW family... TOGETHER!
SUNDAY - Our first Beetles, Buses, Bagels and Breakfast cruise... we've been kicking around the idea of an early bird event on the weekends, this one is the first. This time its Bagelheads, we can decide where we want to go next time.... pancakes? eggs n bacon? Lets pick something awesome!
NEXT WEEK - Thursday BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse Spirit Night Cruise has a cruise-in by Axles for Alzheimer's, they are doing a fundraiser... if you don't like BJ's (shame on you) Cane's might even be open then, if you don't mind braving the line... expect it to be long! Then Cruise to Jen's Grill on Friday night, new event, expect it to be spectacular! Let's meet is for a cruise and lets VW-dominate! Saturday is Hot Rods and Hoagies! Did you win a free sammich last time? Almost every one of us wins one, almost every time, redeem yours? and maybe win another? See you there!
